It all started with the fish when the innovative shapers and board builders out there decided to revisit the past for some inspiration. In doing so they brought back some lost skills such as resin tints and hand foiled fins. The Fish Fry has been a place for these fine craftsmen to showcase their skills. We have seen some amazing boards as shapers have pushed the boundaries over the last few years. As this new look at the fish has evolved to its many forms, it has influenced other shapes and designs along the way. This has spawned a renewed interest in other board forms by this same group and a wider following.Notably the Mini Simmons, Hulls, old school Logs and Pigs. It is pleasing to note that there are an increasing number of people building their own boards as well. All of this is to be applauded and celebrated as a positive for surfing. So it is only natural that these shapers and board builders continue to share their skills with us and include these other shapes at the Fish Fry.It has truly become a melting pot of ideas for like minded people.

Fish Fry 2010 , a wild old day in the park at times.

A day that tested us all , thank god for the quikshades and tents to hide under at times.Just shows if you are a true supporter you turn up no matter what. Thanks to all those who did.
A great day was had by all that ventured out on what was a very changeable day weather wise
Plenty of interest and plenty of interesting boards and people to catch up with.
When the rain came and with plenty of wind at times , it was hang on to the tent boys.

Rich Pavel and Bob Mc Tavish with plenty to talk about. Great to have the support of guys like this who lead busy lives and travel all over the globe. Thanks guys.

I am sorry it has taken a day to get the first post away but I have been laid out in bed with the flu after a day of running around in and out of the rain at the Fry.Hang in there and there will be more.

The Quality of conversation, exchange of ideas combined with the super stoke of all in attendance is tremendous. The weather was a Hawaiian Blessing. Brought us all that much more in spirit together. The surf this week has been on par with a few of my best trips. Grant, you and Jackie are so very generous with your efforts. It is extra special to be at an event were all are encouraged and included. Well done as always. Best fry yet.
Keep em coming. My gratitude and heartfelt respect!
